Mom's Ride Free with a Paying Passenger

NM – May 5, 2010) -
You’ve heard the saying “There’s
no such thing as a free lunch”? Well that may be true, but this
Sunday mothers will get a
free ride aboard
the New Mexico Rail Runner Express if accompanied by a paying
passenger. It’s the Rail Runner’s way of paying respect to mom
on her special day!
“We
want mom to hang up the car keys and leave the driving to us”, says Dewey Cave,
Interim Executive Director, Mid-Region Council of Governments. “This
is a chance for mothers to enjoy the comfort and convenience of
riding the Rail Runner. It’s also a chance for families to take mom
for a ride on the train and spend the day in
Santa Fe. Or take mom on the train and head
south to explore what the heart of the Rio Grande valley has to
offer in the way of dining and entertainment.”
Sunday service aboard the
New Mexico Rail Runner Express offers opportunities to ride the
train both early in the day and later in the evening.
