Full Road Closure at Candelaria Road Crossing
Rail Runner Road Crossing Undergoes Improvements
(Albuquerque,
NM – March 11, 2009)-
North valley motorists traveling
through the railroad crossing at
Candelaria Road
between Second Street
and Edith Boulevard
will be diverted onto nearby roadways this weekend as the New Mexico
Rail Runner Express makes improvements to the roadway and railroad
track crossing.
“These
improvements will greatly increase railroad safety in the area”,
says Lawrence Rael,
Executive Director of the Mid-Region Council of Governments. “Having
regular commuter service in the middle region of the state has
really brought attention to track and road safety, which is very
important.” adds Rael.
