XPress Magazine Cover Art Contest For Children ages 6-12

Children ages
6-12 are invited to enter their artwork in the New Mexico Rail
Runner Express and Xpress magazine’s cover contest. Artists are
encouraged to depict the Rail Runner Express as they see it. The
artwork can be a drawing or painting, but use of color is
encouraged. The work should be done on an 8 1/3-by-11 piece of
paper. The winning entry has a chance of being on the cover of the
September Xpress magazine. Other winning entries will be featured in
the September issue of the magazine.

Xpress magazine,
published by The Santa Fe New Mexican with the New Mexico Rail
Runner Express, is produced four times a year and distributed in the
newspaper and on all trains. It features articles and information
about the Rail Runner. ¨ Deadline to submit an entry is May 6, 2011. Please put your name, address, parents’ name and a phone number and/or e-mail address on each entry. Send your entries to Inez Russell, care of The Santa Fe New Mexican, 202 E. Marcy St., Santa Fe, N.M. 87501. Email questions to irussell@sfnewmexican.com. The contest is open to all children who love trains. Children of employees of The New Mexican or The Rail Runner are ineligible.
