NMRX Tweaks Schedule to Avoid Late TrainsNew
Schedule Involves Minor Adjustments
(Albuquerque,
NM –
April 5, 2010) – One
week from today, the New Mexico Rail Runner Express will be
making some minor adjustments to the current weekday train
schedule. After operating under a new schedule, which began on
March 22nd to accommodate the addition of the new
Kewa Rail Runner Station, it has become apparent that a few
minor adjustments are in order to keep trains running smoothly
and on time.
“We
certainly appreciate the patience of our passengers following any
schedule changes”, said Dewey
Cave, Interim Executive
Director for the Mid-Region Council of Governments. “A lot of times
you need to run a schedule for a few weeks to see how it’s working
for passengers and on-time performance. With this latest schedule
change, we realized there were some challenges with our trains
staying on schedule, so hopefully these minor adjustments will
address that issue.”
