Self Guided Rail Runner Bicycle Tour

The official bike tour is over, but you can use the map below as a suggested route any day of the week.  Our stations are right next to some very nice bike routes.  There is no extra charge to bring your bike on the Rail Runner.

Self Guided Saturday Bike Tour

  • Start your bike tour from either the Los Ranchos, Downtown Albuquerque or Sunport Stations.

  • Use the map to plan your bike route.

  • Ride to the Los Ranchos, Downtown Albuquerque or Sunport stations and hop back on the train.

Bikes on the Train

  • Each train can accommodate between 12 and 18 bicycles.  The bicycle storage area is available on a first come first served basis.

  • Bicycle parking is available at each station.

  • Parking lots and bicycle racks at the stations are monitored via cameras during operating hours.

  • Keep your bicycle in designated spaces and out of the isles. 

  • Secure your bicycle with straps or hold it.

  • Let passengers without bicycles board and disembark first.

  • Do not ride your bicycle on board the train or on the station platforms.

  • You are responsible for damage to train equipment and for injuries to other passengers or train personnel that result from negligence.

  • The New Mexico Rail Runner Express is not liable for damaged or stolen bicycles.
