Reduced fares on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express

Reduced Fares are available to:

    • Senior citizens age 62 and over.
    • Students with a valid student I.D. or proof of enrollment. Students 9 and under ride FREE.
    • People that show a Medicare card.
    • People with disabilities that show disability notification from the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Department, letter from the doctor indicating the disability (with expiration date), ABQ Ride Honored Citizen card or a Disabled Veteran I.D. card.

Reduced Fares Online

Reduced fare train tickets may be purchased online. If you qualify for a discount, be sure to use the drop-down menu to get the reduced fare. Reduced Fares on the Train

After consulting a schedule, simply go to the New Mexico Rail Runner Express station and get on the appropriate train. After the train starts moving, a ticket agent in a yellow vest will come by and collect fares. You can pay with cash or credit card. Tickets are cheaper if you purchase them in advance on our website.

 

All tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. Tickets are not replaceable if lost, stolen or destroyed. Tickets may be confiscated for misuse.
