In an effort to keep pace with growing demand for Rio Metro’s transit services in Valencia County and to offer our customers more flexibility, Rio Metro has introduced a new “deviated fixed route”.
Rio Metro bus Route 210 is now providing service along NM 6 and NM 47 between Los Lunas and Bosque Farms, serving both designated bus stops on a regular schedule and also deviating up to 1/4 mile from the route by reservation. Route 210 operates approximately every 45 minutes from 5:20 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. Monday through Friday. The service took effect on Monday, June 3, 2019.
Note: Former Los Lunas bus Route 207, with some modification, was incorporated into Route 210.

Route 210 provides individuals residing east of the Los Lunas Rail Runner Station with a new connection to the station. This offers passengers taking the Rail Runner into Belen or Albuquerque more flexibility, and will reduce the need for individuals to call and schedule a trip the day before.
Passengers using Route 210 can also connect with Rio Metro's Route 209, providing greater access to the UNM-Valencia Campus, as well as Rio Metro's Route 208, providing more access into Albuquerque, Belen, and the Pueblo of Isleta.
About the Deviated Fixed Route
Rio Metro Route 210 is a Deviated Fixed Route bus service. This means that the bus operates along a fixed route and keeps to a timetable, but passengers can request to be picked up or dropped off up to one quarter (1/4) of a mile off of the bus route. After deviating from the route, the bus returns to the same point it deviated from to continue its run. The pickup and drop off locations will be at the curb. Deviated Fixed Routes are open to the general public and person(s) with and without disabilities. One deviation per run up to 1/4 mile off the route will be provided and trips will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Passengers must call the Rio Metro Dispatch Office at 505-352-3595 to request this service the day before service is desired by 12:00 p.m.
